Volunteer Appreciation Picnic 2005

It was an afternoon of food, fun, music and most of all, appreciation. Friday, June 24, marked the Appreciation Picnic thrown for “our untiring volunteers, upbeat members, umbrella partners, and ultra-cool sponsors” according to Bonifas Public Relations Coordinator Kathryn Morski.

The picnic, held in the Bonifas parking lot from 3 to 6 p.m honored “Super Volunteers” for their time and energy in a ceremony at 5 p.m.

“In an organization like ours,” said Bonifas Executive Director Mollie Larsen, “with chronic stresses from funding and limitations because of time, we count heavily on the contributions of our supporters.

“From the donors of our auction items to our docents for exhibits to our sponsors for things like the Lively Arts Page, we simply couldn’t provide the wide range of programs and events that we currently have without them. It’s only right that we should let them know just how much they mean to us!”

Special recognition went to the Bonifas staff. Volunteers recognized for their extra special contributions were: Marguerite Barak, Lorraine Benson, Pat Boes, Jim Bruce, Pete Denman, Jolie Dzanbozoff, Mark Hannon, Adam Holmes, Naomi Hult, Lorraine Johnson, Jane Ladeck, Barb Lindstrom, Tony Markham, Joy Moran, Petey Semmens, Anne Symington, Craig Woerpel
