Auction for the Arts - "Arts Gone Wild!" 2005
Wild for the Arts? Come show your stripes!
|
|
Arts Gone Wild! is the theme of the Auction for the Arts, May 14, 2005, at the Bonifas. The gala events will center around "wild" locations, including Brazil, a Highland Pub, India, Morocco, and the Philippines. Guests are encouraged to dress comfortable in safari clothes. Tasty snacks catered by Pete Ammel of Bobaloon's will flavor the evening's experiences, and a cash bar provides beverages from the different countries as well.
Door open at 6 p.m. Silent auctions will run until 7:30 and 8:30, with the Live Auction beginning at 9 p.m. A drawing for the annual raffle, Wild Weekends, (see story below), will take place after the auction.
"It's not just about art", said Kathryn Morski, Public Relations Coordinator for the Bonifas. "It's about supporting art, and that takes all kinds of people. We've got some great donations this year, from weekends away and meals out, to art by people whose names are worth knowing".
Morski noted that donations of original art in fiber, wood and oils have been received along with books, massages, jewelry and furniture.
"This is our single largest fund-raiser of the year", she said. "We're grateful that our community annually supports us in this event! In return for such generosity, we work hard to make sure everyone who comes has a thoroughly delightful time".
Auction admission tickets are $25 each available at the Bonifas Arts Center, Gust Asp, and the Frame Farm in Gladstone after 4/15.
