Auction for the Arts - "All Aboard for the Arts!" 2006
Plans are underway for this year's auction for the arts at the Bonifas, All
Aboard for the Arts! Guests will celebrate a rail trip around our country,
with stops at different locales across this geographically and culturally
varied land. Taste the Southwest, the Northeast, the Pacific Coast - and bid
on art and services from community donors as well.
In the past, proud bidders have taken home the work of such local luminaries
as Ingrid Cline, Sharon Fosmo, John Gustafson, Suzy Decker, Jerry McKie, and
Pasqua Warstler.
As always, the auction will provide a gala evening where you can enjoy the
company of friends in the gracious setting at the Center. Food and beverages
will be provided, but alcohol will not be sold. The event is BYOB.
"We'll have great food, great prizes, and a great crowd," said Center
Director Mollie Larsen. "I'm putting some money aside now so I can bid on
the things that I'll fall in love with - as I do every year!"
"We're in the throes of planning," Larsen added. "We welcome donations of
art and services (through April 22), and also welcome folks who'd like to
help us plan and carry out the evening's events."
Tickets for the Auction are $25, or two for $45 through Friday, May 11, and
will be available beginning April 18 at the Center, at the Frame Farm in
Gladstone, and at Frame Crafters in Escanaba. For more information call
