Interpretive Landscapes: Paints, Pixels, and Prints

January 10 - February 21

The landscapes of our youth impress us and help form our reality. This
exhibit, consisting of pieces in a variety of media, considers landscape
from some of the various perspectives based on gender and heritage.

Three featured Michigan artists:
·       Sandy Lopez-Isnardi is Associate Professor of Art and Design at Alma College, where she teaches photography, digital art and graphic design.
·       Robert L Rozier is Chair and Associate Professor of Art and Design at Alma, teaching drawing and painting.
·       Mike Volker is Assistant Professor of Painting and Drawing at Central Michigan University and teaches painting and printmaking.

Pieces in the show include mono prints, intaglio printmaking, photography and digital imaging, oil and watercolor.

Meet the Artists

"For all of us, it's about taking time and reflecting ..that's what the work is about," Lopez- Isnardi says in an Artists’ Statement. She will join Rozier and Volker on Friday, February 22, at 7 p.m., to lead a Gallery Walk through the exhibit. Guests are invited to bring questions about the exhibit or techniques.
