Area students, kindergarten through twelfth grade, can submit art to the annual Bonifas Arts Center’s Youth in Art exhibit now through Feb. 18 at 3 p.m.
Any type of visual art can be submitted, including sculpture, painting, drawing, photography, bookmaking, collage, and printmaking, said Pasqua Warstler, Bonifas artistic director.
Art can be submitted to the Bonifas during business hours by teachers, parents or guardians, or students.
Art and classroom teachers are encouraged to set aside students’ work now so selections can be collected by the deadline. Registration forms are available at the Bonifas. For more information, call 906-786-3833.
Student work will be exhibited March 2-30 with receptions March 15 (grades K-5) and 16 (grades 6-12) at 6 p.m.
The exhibit is a “community favorite,” said Warstler, and wouldn’t be possible without the support of gallery-partner Verso Corporation as well as the following sponsors: the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, the Delta-Schoolcraft Intermediate School District, the Kiwanis Club, and the Michigan Education Association Coordinating Council 17B.
