It’s nearly time for Youth In Art at the Bonifas Arts Center, that explosive annual celebration of art from students in grades K through 12. Student submissions are due by 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 22. Art is selected by the art teachers, academic teachers, and homeshoolers during the year, but students are allowed to enter works on their own as well. If you’re home-schooling, or not in an art class, we still are interested in your work. Students may submit up to three works in any media. submission forms are available at the Arts Center or online (see Artist Opportunities under the Exhibits Tab on the home page).
The Youth In Art exhibit is sponsored annually by NewPage, and features awards from the Delta-Schoolcraft Intermediate School District, Escanaba Noon Kiwanis, the Escanaba Chapter of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, NewPage, and the Arts Center. There is no fee to enter works in the show, which runs March 13 through April 24.
