The Bonifas Arts Center is teaming up with 4-H SPIN Clubs this fall to teach kids how to cook locally grown food; and become healthy, happy cooks and eaters for life! Integral parts of the program are a shopping trip to the farmer’s market, basic kitchen tools and techniques, hands on food preparation, food safety, food chemistry and table manners.
Each class will include food preparation and the process of cooking culminating with a shared meal at the end of the class. Classes are held at Jones Elementary school kitchen. Kids from all local schools are welcome – this is a great after school program with build in snack and fun learning!
