Summertime, and the natives are restless! Take a moment to check our calendar and class listings - there's something here for just about everyone.
Links to many events and classes are found throughout our pages (words are in a different color type - red-brown on my screen). Place your cursor over the words (if the cursor turns into a hand, that means it's a link) and click for more information. Press your "back" button to return to the page you started from.

Chicago's bluesy folk artist Emily Hurd will fill our Theater with music on Saturday, July 26, beginning at 7 p.m. You won't regret an evening spent with Emily, who's been compared to Janis Joplin in more than one review, and who writes and performs to her own spirited piano accompaniment. Tickets are $15 - get yours soon! Click here for concert info.

Where would summer be without Art in the Park? Through July, you can find make-and-take projects for elementary-age students in seven different locations throughout Delta County, this year with a pirate theme. For just $5 a week it's a perfect answer to "I'm bored"! Sponsored by Gladstone Kiwanis and General Federation of Women's Clubs.
And then there's Waterfront Art Festival (and our annual Young Artists' Market) set for Saturday, August 2, in Ludington Park. Come check the products of artists 18 and under at the Bonifas tent from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

June 26 brought New Fibers 2008 and the Michigan Quilt Invitational to our Gallery. The Artists' Reception is set for 6 to 8 p.m. this Friday, July 25. Come celebrate these fascinating collections and their creators with us! No charge, of course. Exhibit ends July 31.
Works from the popular Bay Area Art Association Membership Show move into the Studio in July. Don't forget to ask about Studio exhibits when you visit!
There's never a charge to visit our exhibits, (thanks, in part, to Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs funding,) so stop in often. Hours are Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Thanks to the City of Escanaba, for designating the Bonifas Arts Center a Good Neighbor in celebration of the Governor's Award for Arts in 2007.
And thanks to all who made The Big Bang a success, from the fine folks at Black Duck Sporting Clays in Rapid River to all the shooters, to those volunteers who helped out and brought pies. See you all next year!
Our Gallery is cool and our smiles are warm. Come in and share a bit of the Arts. We're open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Annual membership is just $35 for an individual and $50 for a family.

The Arts Center’s Studio gallery features auxiliary exhibits, and the Kasota Gallery in the foyer currently houses items from the Bay Area Arts Association and Bonifas permanent collections, as well as items for sale at the Bonifas.
Educational programs for children, adults and artists provide exposure to new techniques or advance current skills. We invite you to become a member of the Bonifas and take advantage of the many opportunities to enrich your life through the arts!
