Learn how illustrators make words into pictures in this tour of pictures from three fine Michigan artists in the “Just Kidding” exhibit.  Escanaba Library story hour after tour – 1:30 p.m.

Puppet Workshop
Monday – Friday   October 25-29   6 – 8 p.m.

Youth age 10+ (Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult)

Make a hand puppet based on a story from the “Just Kidding” gallery exhibit with visiting artist, Margaret Nelson.  Artists in residence Kathryn Morski & Jolie Dzanbozoff will help you exercise your creativity with script writing and scenerydesign.  Finally, participate in a play on Friday evening.  Puppet-making M-T; play Friday at 7:30 pm.

Student Fee: $30.00 per puppet


Gingerbread House Workshop
Saturday  December 11   10 – 11:30a.m.

This sweet treat of a workshop has become a favorite holiday tradition.  We provide all materials so you can focus on constructing your very own house out of candy and icing.  Kids and adults are welcome to work together at this family workshop.

Student Fee:  Per gingerbread house kit Members: $8.00, Non-members: $10.00


Smart Art
Wednesdays  October 6 – December 15

Weekly after-school program offered on-site for Soo Hill Elementary 1st to 6^th grade students.  Students create a new art project each week with a Bonifas arts teacher.  A wide variety of materials and projects will ensure exciting take-home projects.  No fee and all materials provided.
