The Art of Breadmaking: Ciabatta

Class is full, no more registrations being taken. Instructor: Mike Berg Date: Oct. 4, 6-8 p.m. Ciabatta is a rustic Italian bread recipe. The bread is not dense, (actually has holes in the interior) nor particularly beautiful, and it resembles a big house slipper, as the name translates to. But what it lacks in beauty, Ciabatta bread makes up in fantastic taste. It has a delightful chewy exterior and a soft light interior - a very pleasing combination for your taste buds! Don’t waste your time looking for a recipe – come to the Art of Breadmaking class instead! Artisanal baker and Bonifas instructor Mike Berg takes you through each step so that you can make some original ciabatta loaves for yourself. And once you bake them, use them in panini for an authentic Italian lunch experience! Join the class and enjoy the smell and taste of freshly baked bread and lively conversation with like-minded people!
